The final match of the season for Crockenhill who went into the game only able to equal last season's position in the league at 4th place with a comfortable win.
A tired and depleted squad following so many recent games didn't appear to have the same edge as usual and the comfortable passing play did not look as slick.
Crockenhill broke the deadlock however with Sam Cannon once again firing past the opposing keeper to make it 1-0.
The score stayed this way until half time and Crockenhill knew more goals were needed to clinch the 4th spot. Chance after chance was created but squandered with poor finishing.
Sloppy play in the midfield gave Chatham the chance to equalise and Crockenhill, unable to make changes couldn't get their rythmn back and the score stayed at 1-1.
A sad display by Crockenhill summing up an under acheiving season in which the team simply didn't train together enough as a full squad due to players being missing.
That said, the team were still the best passing side in the league and looked capable of beating anyone on their day. If they had put every effort into attending training it is feasible that they would have been league contenders.
