The Skills Academy School of Excellence is a unique non-profit making initiative where talented individuals are nurtured in a professional environment to realise their 'Football Potential' and to arm them with life skills that will transfer to the work place environment in the future.
With dedicated FA level 2 and UEFA level 3 coaches overseeing training sessions and a programme of classroom based activities covering areas as diverse as sports nutrition, sports psychology and management overseen by Associate Chartered Management professionals we are confident that we offer as close to the academy experience as possible and that we will equip our lads with life skills.
Our lads are drawn from the local community and continue to represent successful local league teams.
We have already helped and supported some young players into professional youth academies and offer options for players to continue their elite training by progressing into our representative squads.
If you are considering your future and have grown frustrated by the lack of support and development offered to you by youth football then this may well be the opportunity you have been looking for.
Either drop Micheal Rogers an email at michealr@ntlworld.com or give him a call on 07816 033025 for a no obligation chat or better still arrange a visit to one of our training sessions and see for yourself.
Would moving kids' football to a summer game help improve the development of young footballers?
Yes - better pitches mean a better chance to develop technique/skills
No - wouldn't make any real difference to development
Maybe - but I'd be worried about more injuries on firm pitches
